Projectomschrijving:
Currently a Sharepoint Portal server 2003 solution is in place. Various functionalities are in place on this Sharepoint based intranet, like a Document Center (out of the box Sharepoint functionality, set of Document Libraries), and a workflow solution to retrieve, archive and process files. Processing of files includes renaming files, appending a unique file ID to each record of the file (keeping into account the different formats, delimiters and code pages of the original files). Currently this is implemented as a Windows service (picking up and processing the files) and a web part (for searching and viewing files).
Besides the above mentioned internal solution, the company also uses some extranets based on PHP/MySQL for file exchange between clients and partners. This extranet solution should be replaced by a web solution based on MOSS 2007 which can be monitored by the BizTalk 2006 workflow system, so files can be picked up automatically and processed.
The project entails:
- the migration of the Sharepoint 2003 solution to MOSS 2007
- replacing the current file processing Windows service and file listing web part with a new solution, based on BizTalk 2006 and MOSS 2007
- replacing the current PHP/MySQL extranets with a MOSS 2007 based solution, intergrated with the internal MOSS 2007 solution and the company’s BizTalk 2006 solution
- documentation of the new solution
- handing over the project by training C# developers to build and maintain MOSS 2007 web parts, training database developers/DBA’s to maintain the MOSS 2007 databases and to train the system administrators to administer MOSS 2007
